About Tim Arthurs

TIMOTHY C. ARTHURS

Timothy C. Arthurs is a Wall Street entrepreneur and institutional markets executive focused on building the next generation of independent institutional equities.

With more than 20 years of experience across institutional equities and capital markets, Arthurs has earned a reputation for building entrepreneurial businesses, recruiting exceptional talent, and developing long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading institutional investors.

As Founding Principal of Seaport Research Partners and Partner at Seaport Global Securities, Arthur’s driving force is to build one of Wall Street’s fastest-growing independent institutional equities platforms.

Launched in 2021, Seaport Research Partners was created around a simple premise: experienced professionals, empowered by ownership, independence, and aligned incentives, aiming to deliver better outcomes for institutional investors.

Today, the platform includes approximately 30 senior analysts and strategists covering more than 10 sectors and 60+ industries, serving over 4,000 institutional relationships through a global distribution network supported by more than 200 institutional sales and trading professionals.

The firm’s senior talent has been recruited from many of Wall Street’s premier research organizations, including Bernstein, BMO, Credit Suisse/UBS, Evercore ISI, Barclays, RBC Capital Markets, TD Cowen, Wells Fargo, Piper Sandler, and KeyBanc.

Throughout his career, Arthurs has become known for identifying exceptional talent and building high-performance organizations where expertise, autonomy, and economics are directly aligned. His leadership philosophy is rooted in empowering senior professionals with the infrastructure, technology, and resources to deliver differentiated, independent research and exceptional client outcomes.

Arthurs has also played a significant role in expanding Seaport Global’s institutional franchise. After becoming a Wall Street Partner at age 28, he relocated to Chicago to establish and grow the firm’s Midwest presence. Over the course of his career, he has hosted more than 1,000 corporate access events and over 60 institutional investor conferences, connecting thousands of institutional investors with executive leadership teams across public markets.

Beyond Wall Street, Arthurs serves as a Board Member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, a mission inspired by his youngest daughter’s epilepsy journey. He is also an advisor and investor in public and private companies and a member of the Orion3 Executive Network.

A former collegiate football player and competitive endurance athlete, Arthurs won the 2023 Chicago Triathlon Relay and first place in his age group at the 2025 Chicago Triathlon. He also served as mentor and private quarterback coach to Bryce Young before Young became a Heisman Trophy recipient and the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Based in Chicago, Arthurs continues to build businesses, recruit exceptional talent, and advance an entrepreneurial model for institutional research centered on independence, innovation, alignment, and long-term partnership.
